- Subject: Launch Applications (System 7)
-
- Enclosed is a update of a program that I released a long time ago. This
- version requires system 7. This program keeps a list of all your
- applications, Control Panels and deskacc's for you to launch at any time.
-
- In a scrolling list, all your launchable software appears in alphabetical
- order with an icon representing the type of file it is. You select an item
- to launch and click the launch button.
-
- You can do three things to a selected item.
-
- Launch
-
- Click the launch button to start teh selected software. Control panels
- require the the finder be available.
-
- Remove/delete
-
- You can click remove to remove the item from the list. If you hold down the
- option key when you click the remove button it will ask you if you want to
- delete the item from your disk. This is useful if you have old software or
- multiple copies of the same program.
-
- Get Info
-
- Show information about that file.
-
- I use this program all the time and its very useful since all my
- applications are usually buried a few folders deep and I can never remember
- where they are.
-
- Matt
-
-
- P.S. When you first start the program you need to click rescan so that it
- can scan your mounted disks. You might want to unmount any large volumes
- that you don't normally use.
